1. News-

Only 0.56 percent of students with disabilities are pursuing higher
education in the country, a survey has revealed. The percentage of people
with disabilities employed in the public sector is around 1 percent and in
the private sector the figure is around 0.5 percent, National Centre for
Promotion of Employment for Disabled People (NCPEDP) survey data on
employment over the past two decades shows. The annual survey of NCPEDP was
conducted to know the status of students with disabilities in colleges and

2. Scholarship-

2500 Scholarships for Students with Disabilities for the Academic year
2015-16. National Handicapped Finance & Development Corporation (NHFDC) for
and on behalf of Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities,
Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Govt. of India, invites
applications from Students with Disabilities for award of Scholarships
under the Scholarship Scheme (Trust Fund). Under this scheme, 2500
Scholarship will be awarded to eligible students with disabilities for
Degree and Post Graduate level professional and technical courses from
recognized institutions in India. 30% scholarships will be reserved for
girls, which will be transferable to male students in case of
non-availability of female candidates. Monthly income of the
beneficiary/parent or guardian should not be more than Rs. 25000/- (Rs.
3.00 Lakh p.a.) from all sources. Family income includes income of
parent/guardian. The applicant has to apply online www.nhfdc.nic.in and
printed copy of the online filled application duly recommended by the Head
of the Institution, where they are studying should reach to: National
Handicapped Finance and Development Corporation (NHFDC), 3rd Floor, PHD

August Kranti Marg, New Delhi-110016. Applications may apply any time in
academic year from July 1st 2015 to June 30th, 2016 for scholarship under

3. Job-

There is one post as Officer Scale-II (General Banking Officer) and two posts as
Officer Scale-I for Visually Impaired in Andhra Pradesh Grameena Vikas
Bank, Warangal, Andhrapradesh.  Those who have been declared qualified at
the Online CWE –III for RRBs conducted by IBPS during September/ October
2014, can apply. Qualification: Degree in any discipline from a recognized
University or its equivalent . Candidates  are required to possess
proficiency in the local language (Telungu). Age Limit: Officer Scale-II:
21-32 years, Officer Scale-I: 18-28 years. Probation period: Two years.
Application fee is Rs. 40/-. The Interviews may be held at HYDERABAD. Only
candidate willing to serve anywhere in the operational area of the bank
should apply. Candidates are required to apply online through Bank’s website
