Dear Friends

 

We are delighted to share with you that our new centre in Thane,
XRCVC-Viviana Extension, is now open. The inauguration was done by Fr Frazer
Mascarenhas SJ, former principal of St Xavier’s College (autonomous).

 

In addition to volunteer support and help with creation of accessible
material, XRCVC-Viviana Extension will be offering a number of workshops /
services to visually impaired persons. Some of these are listed below.

 

1. Basic Computer training: Introduction to hardware, Typing, MS Office
basics, Basics of using Internet, VI technologies, NVDA focussed

2. Basic Refresher Course on using computers and VI technologies

3. NVDA for JAWS users

4. Using advanced Excel for Financial Modeling

5. Android Awareness and Usage: For Kitkat and Lollipop versions

6. iOS Workshop For iPhone users

7. Workshops on Typing in Hindi and Marathi on the computer

8. Social Media Workshops focussing on using Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin
etc

9. English training: Basic and Advanced English speaking and usage
workshops

10. Personality Development: Self Awareness and Self Esteem Development

11. Reading without seeing workshops
