Yes, era of biometric ATMs has now begun.

However, mind you, these biometric ATMs will also have to be operated by somebody's assistance, or by memory by the blind users!

So much for the financial inclusion!

These dignitaries must be made to think on the "post-operational" or "formal" level of thought and made to realize that a blind person may, either use a trusted person or in extreme cases memory to do transactions, in the existing technological and legal framework, where talking ATMs at all places are a distant dream and banks are not liable for any misuse etc.

Would like to know how far demonstration has progressed.

For despite all theoretical objections, it was one of the modes being tried to convince "dunces", maybe, it will work, at least in the short run!
